Terms of service

These terms govern your use of Wispkin, a marketplace that connects people requesting grave care with independent caretakers. By creating an account you agree to them.
Our role
Wispkin is a marketplace intermediary. Care services are performed by independent caretakers, not by Wispkin. When a quote is accepted, a contract for the service is formed between the requester and the caretaker.
Wispkin charges a 15% mediator fee on each completed order, deducted from the amount paid to the caretaker. Payments are processed by Stripe; caretakers receive payouts through Stripe Express after completing identity verification.
When an order is booked, the requester’s card is authorized through Stripe and charged only after the requester approves the completed work, at which point Stripe pays the caretaker directly. Stripe holds and settles all funds; Wispkin never takes custody of payments and does not provide escrow, banking, or money-transmission services.
Provider vetting
Providers apply and are reviewed before they can quote on requests. Vetting reduces but does not eliminate risk; Wispkin does not guarantee the quality, timeliness, or outcome of any service.
Providers must accurately describe their service area, complete accepted orders with reasonable care, and upload genuine proof-of-service photos.
Disputes and refunds
If a service was not performed as agreed, raise a dispute from the order screen or email support@wispkin.com within 14 days of completion.
Wispkin will review the order history, chat, and proof photos, and may in its discretion issue a full or partial refund, require re-performance, or let the charge to the caretaker proceed. Refunds are returned to the original payment method via Stripe.
Acceptable use
You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information. You may only add graves you are entitled to arrange care for.
You may not use the platform to harass others, upload unlawful or disrespectful content, circumvent fees by taking transactions off-platform, or misrepresent your identity or services. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Liability
The app is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wispkin is not liable for the acts or omissions of requesters or caretakers, for indirect or consequential damages, or for amounts exceeding the fees Wispkin earned on the order giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by applicable law.
